RAETH's flagship binary — the 60-second BTC up/down (the 1-minute window — series btc-up-down-1m): every 60 seconds, a fresh contract on one question — will BTC close this window above where it opened? UP pays 100¢ per contract if it does, DOWN pays 100¢ if it doesn't, and a new window starts the moment the last one ends. The series never stops.
| Window | 60 seconds, aligned to UTC clock boundaries (:00 each minute) |
| Symbol | BTC-1M-<YYYYMMDDTHHMMZ> — the timestamp is the window CLOSE |
| Series id | btc-up-down-1m |
| Payout | 100¢ per winning contract, 0¢ per losing contract |
| Price grid | 1–99¢, 1¢ tick |
| Tie rule | close == open voids (refund) |
| Oracle | Chainlink BTC/USD, consumed via Polymarket's public relay |
| Auto-roll | a new window prelists as the previous one opens — no gaps |
The open/close snapshots, the exact tie rule, evidence recording, and the rare void case are specified in Settlement & Resolution; how RAETH's rules line up with Polymarket's matching market is in the parity notes.
A binary's price IS the market's probability estimate. UP (YES) trading at 42¢ means the book collectively prices a 42% chance that BTC closes the window up: you pay $0.42 per contract for a claim worth $1.00 if it happens, $0 if it doesn't. Buying at 42¢ is profitable in expectation exactly when you believe the true chance is above 42% (before the taker fee — see Fees & Rewards for the θ·p·(1−p) curve).
The Trade tab shows the series as a three-slot rail: PREV (the last settled window and its outcome, for context), LIVE (the window trading right now — the book, chart, and ticket all point here), and NEXT (the prelisted window, your on-ramp for the coming boundary). Deeper settled history lives on the Markets page.
The old BTC 5m Up/Down [PM] mirror series is retired. Live series discovery now returns the native btc-up-down-1mwindows.
